The 2016 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2016, will be the 15th European Championship for national football teams organised by UEFA.

The 36 lowest ranked UEFA associations enter at this round. They are drawn in 7 groups, one group of 6 nations and 6 groups of 5 nations. The top two from each group progressed to the last 32.

The 14 qualifiers from the Qualifying Group Stage were joined by the 18 top ranked European nations in the Group Stage. They were split into 8 groups of 4, playing each other twice. The top two from each group qualified for the Playoffs.
